To cultivate high quality talents for the food industry, this paper systematically analyzed the current teaching status of the Fruit and Vegetable Storage course in terms of teaching content, practical teaching, teaching mode and evaluation system, and proposed corresponding teaching reform strategies based on artificial intelligence (AI) technology. Specifically, it adopted AI technologies such as natural language processing and computer vision to dynamically integrate cutting-edge industry achievements for updating teaching content; integrated technologies including virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), virtual laboratories and intelligent teaching assistants to innovate teaching methods; constructed personalized learning programs based on students’ learning data; and developed an intelligent assessment and evaluation system. This study aimed to explore a new teaching path that meets industry demands, improve the quality of course teaching, and provide a reference for the construction of related application-oriented agricultural courses.
