Exploration on pedagogical reform of Animal Physiology Experiments course

The current situation of Animal Physiology Experiments course teaching was analyzed, and the teaching reform of the course was explored from six aspects: student participating in experimental preparation, flipping classroom teaching, increasing in class testing, standardizing experimental reports, creating excellent portfolios and reforming assessment methods. Student participation in experimental preparation was beneficial to gain a deeper understanding of the experimental content during the practical process; Teachers made full use of modern technology to improve teaching efficiency through blended online and offline teaching; Increasing in class testing had fully stimulated students’ interest and initiative in learning; Standardizing experimental reports had cultivated students’ serious, rigorous, and pragmatic research attitudes; Creating excellent portfolios, and enriched course teaching resources; Reforming the assessment method was beneficial for improving students’ scientific literacy and independent thinking ability, and enabling them to play their role as learning subjects. This study had achieved significant practical results, and provided theoretical references for curriculum teaching reform.
