Investigation on the main evaluation factors of low quality and low efficiency forest replanting and transformation

A plot survey method was used to measure the survival rate, average height growth, vegetation coverage, and average ground diameter increment of seedlings in eight types of replanting and transformed forest land, including low efficiency sparse forests of Pinus massoniana, mixed low efficiency sparse forests of Pinus massoniana, and low efficiency forests of artificial pine species, in order to test the effectiveness of low quality and low efficiency forest transformation. The results showed that the main evaluation factors for the replanting and transformation of different types of low quality and low efficiency forests, such as survival rate, average height growth of seedlings, vegetation coverage, and average ground diameter increment of seedlings, were good and achieved the expected results. The transformation effects were better on artificial low efficiency Chinese fir forests and natural broad-leaved residual forests, providing references for the replanting and transformation of low quality and low efficiency forest stands and the improvement of stand quality.
