Current situation, nurturing measures, and construction practices of Chinese fir plantations

Based on the growth status of Chinese fir plantation in Yang’an Village, Xiayang Town, Yanping District, Nanping City, Fujian Province. The cutting and nurturing measures during this period were analyzed, and its construction practices was proposed. The artificial forest of Chinese fir in the research area needs further improvement in afforestation, site conditions, and nurturing management measures. The measures of thinning and nurturing included light cutting, sanitary cutting, thinning, and weeding. Through thinning and nurturing, the ecological environment inside the forest can be improved and the growth of trees can be promoted. At the same time, related respects were put into practice to further develop Chinese fir plantations, including improving site conditions, suitable time for logging and nurturing, scientific fertilization, prevention and control of pests and diseases, innovative management models, and strengthening technical training, provide references for achieving sustainable development of Chinese fir.
