Termite control technology for small reservoirs and grade 4 and 5 levees

The comprehensive control of termite damage is an important part of the daily maintenance of small reservoirs and grade 4 and 5 levees. This article combines work practice and literature to analyze the main causes, activity patterns, and control methods of termite damage in such reservoirs and levees. On this basis, it explores their prevention and control strategies. The main reasons for the occurrence of termites are the old hidden dangers of the original foundation, the suitable environmental conditions of the dam and the flying of breeding ants, and their activities have a great relationship with temperature and humidity. The termite control in small reservoirs and grade 4 and 5 levees includes normal control methods (drilling injection, splitting grouting, trapping and nest digging, etc.) and termite prevention measures (such as chemical anti-ant trench and chemical anti-ant layer). Based on this, strategies were proposed to strengthen the construction in termite control teams, carry out the inspection of termite damage, increase the investment in termite control, and strengthen the training of termite control technology, so as to provide references for the comprehensive control of termite in such reservoirs and levees.
